The Virtual Dementia Tour, created by geriatric specialist, P.K. Beville, helps people understand what living with dementia is like by altering participants’ physical and sensory abilities using headphones, goggles, and gloves that simulate hearing, vision, and tactile deficiencies.
More than two million people in 17 different countries have taken the tour. Debbie Miller, a Senior Helpers franchise owner in the Nashville area, invited me to experience it for myself and later sat down with me to discuss what I had learned from my experience.
